Who we are
Tour Operator Growth is a consultancy providing services to tour operators. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What we collect
When you contact us. Your name, email address, company name, phone number where given, and whatever you tell us about your business.
When you use the site. Pages visited, referring source, approximate location, device and browser information, collected through analytics.
When we contact you. Where we approach you about our services, we may hold your name, business email address, company name, website and publicly available information about your business.
When you become a client. Contact details, billing information, and whatever business data is necessary to deliver the services agreed.
Why we process it
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to enquiries | Legitimate interests, or steps prior to entering a contract |
| Providing services to clients | Performance of a contract |
| Business-to-business outreach | Legitimate interests |
| Site analytics | Consent |
| Invoicing and accounting records | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interest in operating and marketing the business is outweighed by your rights. You can object at any time using the contact details above.
Business-to-business outreach
We contact tour operators about our services using business contact details obtained from public sources such as company websites and industry directories, or from business contact data providers.
If you would rather we did not contact you, email us and we will remove you from our list and record that request so we do not contact you again.
Who we share it with
We use the following providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Google Workspace — email and file storage
- Pipedrive — customer relationship management
- Loom — video recording and hosting
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery
- Google Analytics — website analytics
- Xero — invoicing and accounting records
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are in place, typically the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become clients — up to 24 months
- Outreach contact data — until you ask us to stop, or the contact is no longer relevant
- Client records — for the duration of the engagement and six years afterwards, for accounting and legal purposes
- Analytics — in line with the retention period set in Google Analytics
